Dear Aimee:
Thanks for letting me know. Matt should have indicated this in his
reply.
I want Matt to learn how to make this system work from soup to nuts.
Thanks,
Wesley

Matt did install the Java.

Then we had trouble. We will fix it on Tuesday since the room is
currently in use.

Dear Matt:
This is not a test nor is it what I asked.
I asked to make sure that the PC has the latest version of Java.
Then I want a real test.
Please read the manual available on evo.caltech.edu.
Please then make it work with the polycom using the test room.
Thanks,
Wesley

I think Matt and I forgot to put in the gatekeeper. I'll go try it
now to get it over with and I'll IM you when I have it up and we can
test.

Dear Matt,

Here some instructions:

Start EVO

I think you need an EVO account to configure.
Assuming you got to the EVO startup screen.

Click on Configuration Menu
Choose EVO H.323
Enter Polycom information
Gatekeeper <E.164 ID of our polycom>@198.129.252.168
	Set Framerate to 25/30
	Bandwidth to 512

I think connecting to meetings after that should use the polycom.
I will be happy to join "Testing" room in Universe when you
have it setup and want to connect.

Went up and had a look at this with Aimee yesterday (the 17th).
The EVO software itself worked fine without issue. I could not
figure out how to make it talk to the polycom, but thats just
likely me not being terribly familiar with either EVO or the polycom.

Matt,

This is semi-urgent. Please take the video conf PC and make it
"evo.hep.wisc.edu" ASAP. It'll need a fresh WinXP install,
EVO and DeepFreeze. Thanks.
