Hm; the other disk in this machine 'went bad' right after I sent
this. Since both are offline, I suspect the IDE controller on the
motherboard is bad, not the disks themselves.
I'll try to bring the disks up on another machine.

According to Dan's pool inventory catalogs, unique copies of 9 files
lived on g12n10_0 (see list below).
